Service Designer and Consultant
Volunteering - Data Science Peru
Challenge: How might we map all the end-to-end process TO-BE, and redesign the actual services to deliver a good experience?

Year: 2021
Client: Data Science Peru (Civil organization that decentralizes and disseminates knowledge in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence solving problems of Social Impact)
Role: Service Design Volunteer
Teamwork: 3 people

Challenge:
Data Science is a non-profit organization that seeks to share knowledge about data science and artificial intelligence. To achieve this, it has several different services in its catalog, which currently have no official order or documentation to validate that it is being carried out in the best way.

The objective is to support building and map each flow of each service with each service owner, to achieve organization and a better experience for the user who wants to learn about Data Science and approaches Data Science Peru.
Process:
-
We are having sessions and interviews with each service owner:
-
We introduce and teach how to use the service blueprint.
-
We identify the opportunities in each service and document the gaps.
-
We share the result with other service owners so that all people inside Data Science Peru can have the knowledge of the other services propositions.
Example of Service Blueprint mapping:

Learnings:
The importance of sharing the value of questioning each service and the purpose and value proposition of each one, so that the company can focus on providing a good service and the user can receive a clear and complete result.

Also the importance of organizing time after work to work on other external projects.
